Path to Baby Beach
In Sprecklesville there is an old estate that has been the home of the Maui Country Club for many years. It sits along the water protected from the wind by a grove of Ironwoods and Kiawes. These trees grow right out of the sand dunes that run along the beach all the way to Baldwin. Down a path in front of the club lies Baby Beach. As you walk through, you can't help but notice a labyrinth of pathways into the dunes. The trees add an air of mystery. Moving through shadows and into bright hot light and then back into shadows, your eyes never quite have time to adjust. Up ahead is a brilliant patch of turquoise from the sun on the water. It's alluring.
