Gathering Gold, 2002

My idea of fine subject matter is the gradually gathering colors of the sun setting on the rolling Kula pastureland. This point of view overlooks the valley isle from the western slopes of Haleakala at an elevation of 3200 feet. There are few places that are better suited for watching the sunset than from a wide open Kula pasture.
