The Farrier, 2006
The sharp scent of Eucalyptus fills the crisp air of Haleakala Ranch. Weathered red paint and rusty roofs counteract the rich greens of the area like oil and vinegar. In among the towering trees, generations of skilled workers have spent their lives tending to the ranch. Makawao weather shifts with the ever changing clouds, but change never seems to touch the ranch atmosphere. For me, that stability is a large part of its appeal. If I can capture even the smallest part of that, I feel I've accomplished something.
