Keanae Evening, 1994
Keanae is a special place. It rains a lot. Sometimes the laundry doesn't get a chance to dry. If you are quiet enough, you'll hear the sound of trickling water. There are taro ponds all around. The same sounds were probably there even before it was populated by taro farms. Farmers settled in the area because of the continual flow of water. A waterfall up on the mountain is visible from most of the peninsula below. In the evening, it becomes a chorus of water songs, the music to sleep by.
